Nancy's fascination with technology and all things geek started in the late '80s, right around the time when some of her staff members were transitioning out of diapers. In the early '90s she joined the cast of Bitstream Underground and as its president helped shape the local technology landscape. As President and CEO of Clockwork Active Media Systems, Nancy is surrounded by brilliant teachers and technologists and enjoys the daily challenges of making web technology simple and accessible for a wide variety of audiences.
In May of 2001, Nancy was chosen as one of the Twin Cities' 40 under 40 by City Business. The award honors young business people making their mark in the Twin Cities marketplace. And in 2000, Bitstream Underground was chosen as one of the Twin Cities Great Places To Work by City Business. In July of 2004 Nancy was chosen as one of the Twin Cities' Women To Watch by the Business Journal. According to the Business Journal, the Women to Watch list 'features 25 people you'll likely be hearing more of in the future as start-up companies continue to grow and corporate ladders are climbed'. In 2006, 2007 and 2008 Clockwork Active Media was selected as one of the Twin Cities Best Places To Work by the Business Journal. And in 2007 the Minnesota Psychological Association selected Clockwork as a Psychologically Healthy Workplace. In 2008 Working Monther Magazine named Clockwork one of the 25 best Women Owned businesses in the country.
Nancy spends her free time writing prose and performing spoken word and stand-up comedy in various Twin Cities performance venues.
