Dooce: the blogging juggernaut who was once known as the girl who lost her job because of her blog.
Meghan referenced a poem by Poetry Slam founder Marc Smith, which exemplifies the Geek Girls mission as we head into 2010:
pull the next one up
When you get to the top of the mountain
Pull the next one up.
Then there'll be two of you
Roped together at the waist
Tired and proud, knowing the mountain,
Knowing the human force it took
To bring both of you there.
And when the second one has finished
Taking in the view,
Satisfied by the heat and perspiration under the wool,
Let her pull the next one up;
Man or woman, climber of mountains.

no doupt Tech dev has significantly evolued in the last decade , as a part of this movement , social networking has a deep impact in many ppl's lifestyles , and within couple years many SN were created and been developed such as twitter and Facebook (and now Google Wave).
i ,personally ,cant imagine myself without my Facebook/twitter profile and the sexiness of Apple's iPhone.
btw !! i'd like to give u girls sum Kudos for ur Girly Geekness !!! without yall tyhere'll be no baby Geeks in the future !!!xD
Thanks for mentioning the "other" technology gap. It's an interesting issue when you dive into it. There are people who know a lot about technology who can do really powerful things with technology. Then there are people who don't know a lot about technology and they want to do the same powerful things. And they do! They do it with tools created by the first group.
So I'm not sure we want that gap to get smaller, necessarily. We want geniuses doing research and making awesome tools for the rest of it. http://www.wolframalpha.com/ is a great example of that.
